Lovers

Welcome to the Colour Train! This game is a creative group palette effort. One person starts the train by sending a love note with the HTML image code of a colour of their own to another lover, asks that lover to add a colour of their own and send the colours to someone else, and so on. The person to add the final colour creates a palette. Colours should always be visible to all contributors.

Have fun!

DIRECTIONS
How to continue a train you've received as a love note.

I think it's easiest to start with three browser windows, which I will be referring to as Window #1, Window #2, and Window #3. It's best if you position the windows side-by-side or in a tabbed format.

Window #1 contains the note you received.
Window #2 contains the Colour Train Group Home.
Window #3 contains a list of colours you have a created.

(Click here to open a colour search box in a new window. Type your "name" into the "Lover" box to search for your own colours)

PICK A MEMBER

Start in Window #2 (the Group Home). All of the "Nest Members" you see in the group are interested in playing the game, so click on any member's picture to go to their profile. Make sure to pick someone who doesn't have a colour listed in the love note you received.

In their profile, click the white button that says "Pass Me a Love Note!". Window #2 now has your new love note open.

COPY THE INSTRUCTIONS

Highlight and copy the instructions in Window #1. Paste these instructions into the new love note you started in Window #2.

COPY THE COLOUR(S) YOU RECEIVED

Starting in Window #1, click the colour(s) you received (this will open in a new window). This takes you to that colour's specific page. On the right side of the page, you'll see a box titled "About this Colour". In that box, it says "Get this colour badge" and there is a code. Highlight and copy this code. In Window #2, paste the code into the new love note, under the instructions.

Don't forget to leave a little space between the instructions and the code.

ADD YOUR COLOUR

In Window #3, find a colour of your own that you would like to add. Click the colour you would like to add to open its specific page. On the right side of the page, you'll see a box titled "About this Colour". In that box, it says "Get this colour badge" and there is a code. Highlight and copy this code.

Paste the code for the colour you'd like to add into the love note in Window #2, under the instructions and the other colour code(s). Again, leave a little space between the instructions and each of the colours.

Click send!

Just a tip to combine the "Copy the Instructions" & "Copy the Colour(s) You Recieved" steps:

If you hit "Reply" on the LoveNote you received, it will show you the code of the note, including the code for the palette badge(s)... (i.e. you don't have to go to the colour page to get it that way)... just copy all the text in your original LoveNote (including the badge code) & paste it all into the new note (Window #2)
